Atypical to the purebred husky, Zephyr is duo colored; Like a coat with a hood for his head his black fur stretches fully atop his body, meanwhile to his more vulnerable appendages such as the belly, chest, and eyes he is as white as the snow. Zephyr is very muscular from his job as a sled dog but also lean from carrying less weight. Meant to be the fastest dog on the team his legs reflect this desire quite nicely. Zephyr’s eyes are rather unique in that the right eye is a bright hazel whereas his left eye is an ice blue. This amusing appearance gives him a kinder gaze, but also more intelligent.

Personality: Zephyr is the Lead dog and Alpha of his sled dog team. He is extremely intelligent, cunning, quirky and almost (but not quite) arrogant. Zephyr has a special sort of charm about him with a mischievous personality. Zephyr enjoys little more than being with his master Ezra whether it is by leading the team or following him through town. He is very confident in his abilities as a lead dog and as a companion.
Zephyr’s love interest is his second-in-command as well as childhood friend Secret of Rain, but he hasn’t confessed yet for fear of being turned down. Towards her and Ezra he can be extremely serious and protective. Any threat towards them is top priority and needs to be taken care of as soon as possible.

History: After Ezra learned how to handle his father’s team his father gifted him with Zephyr. Zephyr was specifically bred to be a lead dog as well as a perfect match Ezra. Since the day they met the two have been inseparable; wherever Ezra goes Zephyr follows at his side.
It was midmorning when Zephyr was asleep at the foot of his master when he heard mystifying howls in the mountains. Curious the Husky ran to the door following him was Ezra and Dali. A few minutes of listening and Zephyr could detect the scent of blood. He ran forward to see Secret of Rain running back as fast as she could. Frantically she began to explain that there had been an accident and they had fallen off a cliff. Blood attracted wolves and everyone was in desperate need for help.
At the news Zephyr ran for the kennels and called together the team. Once strapped and ready they ran as fast as able to the scene but they were too late. The wolves had been too much for them, everyone was dead. The sorrow of losing everyone was terrible, but the pain and anger in Ezra’s heart was worse. He wanted revenge. Upon traveling back to the town Zephyr delivered the news to the local dogs only to hear of other reports. Dogs had been going missing for months, it was the doing of the wolves. Now with the taste of humans they might go after their masters as well. This was unacceptable.
As Ezra works out his plan of revenge his dog sits and ponders ways to keep him safe. He was bred and born for Ezra, it was his job to keep him safe, and Zephyr took his job very seriously.
