Isis nudged Cassis foreward towards the Rising Sun Kennels, and smiled down at all the barking canines she was met with. Cassis snorted and shook his long, rippled mane, showing his clear disinterest in the dogs. She pulled the black horse to a stop and slid from the sadle and secured his bridle on a nearby post. "Hello? Anyone here?"

Saga only barely heard Isis over the yipping of the puppies he had following him through the kennel. There were only five since one of them had been purchased, but they were still a handful all the same. Kavik, Saga's trusty Malamute sidekick, was right beside them, though, keeping them in line as they followed Saga through the kennel as he checked up on all his dogs. "Wonder who's here..." Shrugging lightly, Saga clicked his tongue for the puppies and Kavik to follow him, and thankfully they all did as he made his way towards the fencing at the front of his cabin, where the gate of it lay. That's where he saw someone standing with a horse, evidently looking for him. Smiling, he headed that way, Kavik nudging each of the puppies to continue following him.
"Hello. Is there something that you need?" He spoke in a friendly way, watching out of the corner of his eye as Kavik came to stand next to him and the puppies tried to sniff the horse through the fence. It was the first time they had seen a horse before, so they were curious.

"Ah, hello! You must be Mr. Sakamoto! I'm Isis Delareaux I own the stables in town!" She shook hands with the young kennel owner and smiled. "Actually, I was looking for a couple of dogs to kind of keep watch over the stables at night. I have a mare thats about to give birth, and I've been told of the recent wolf attacks." She side and stroked Cassis' neck. "I don't like shooting animals, so I thought maybe a couple of dogs would discourage them from coming too close to the new foal."

Saga smiled and shook hands with the young woman as she explained herself and why she was here. "Most dogs will discourage, you are correct, because we have yet to have an attack while Kavik here has been on the watch. I have some of his children for sale if you'd like to take a look at them. They are part wolf, however, though it is less than half." He paused and then looked to the puppies below him, seeing that they were eager for the horse to get inside the fence. "If your horse does not get spooked easily by dogs then while I put these puppies in the house you may bring him inside the fence and tie him up by the porch while you wait. Or you're welcome to leave him there and come inside the fence to wait." With that said he turned and clicked his tongue at the puppies, making them reluctantly follow him as he headed towards the cabin to put them inside so they wouldn't pester the horse and possibly get hurt.

Isis chuckled and clicked her tongue, and Cassis sunk to the ground with a grunt and a thud, his long tail falling behind him like a stain. "Cassis loves puppies. If you want you can let the pups out to check him out, he won't mind it." She smiled and stroked the stallion's head that easily came to her waist. "He's a big ball of love, wouldn't hurt a fly."

Saga stopped in his tracks at her words, and then he turned with a smile to look at the stallion. Normally he wouldn't even consider bringing a horse around the puppies, or any of his other dogs because none of them had been around horses much. Well, other than Saga's two main dogs Kavik and Chiko. They didn't mind so much.
"If you say so. They're rowdy, though." Chuckling, Saga held back the puppies and motioned for her to come inside the fence. "I'll hold them while you guys get inside then." His brown eyes watched the large draft horse while he was handled with care by Isis. It truly seemed she was as passionate about her horses as he himself was about his dogs. "I wouldn't recommend letting him wander around freely because I don't know how my other dogs would be, so you can tie him up at the post if you wish to."

Isis nodded and lead the stallion into the fence and tethered him to the post before walking over to Saga. "Ah, he's used to it. Fathered plenty of rowdy colts in his day. He just sits there and lets them do what they will!" She said with a laugh.

Laughing, Saga nodded and let go of the bundle of five puppies who instantly went to inspect the horse. Even Kavik seemed interested in the large draft. "Well, while they're busy do you want to go and have a look at the dogs? I'm afraid I have very little adult dogs for sale right now, but if you're unhappy with what you see you're always welcome to select two dogs for breeding and in the meantime borrow a dog or two to guard the stables." It was an offer Saga had never had to make, and never thought he would. However, he was more than happy to make that offer now for Isis.

"I'm actually interested in some younger dogs, so they can grow up around the horses." She smiled and tucked her hands into the back pockets of her jeans and looked back at the puppies who were pulling and tugging on Cassis' mane and tail while the large animal merely sat there, looking utterly bored.
"I'd love to take two of those...But I know they won't be able to hold off any predators right now." She nibbled on her bottom lip, particularly drawn to red and black and cream colored female and the husky patterned male in the group.

Saga saw her dilemma almost immediately and followed her line of sight to the five puppies playing happily with their newfound toy. "Well... how about this. I'll sell you two of the puppies for eight hundred and fifty each and then half price one of my adult dogs for you so that you can have a guardian while they grow?" Then after thinking a minute he realized something else they could do since they were both in the animal business.
"Or, if you would wish it and have any to sell, you can purchase the two puppies for half price each and then we can trade the adult dog and the other half of the cost for each puppy for a horse you're selling." Making bargains never was a problem for him, especially when he really needed a horse for when he needed to travel distances without so much preparation as fixing a sled did.

Isis' eyes widened, and she smiled. "Wow, are you sure? These are amazing dogs, though...You sure you want to let the go like that?" Though she was trying to be modest, her bright eyes and wide smile gave away her delight that someone had taken interest in her horses.

"Of course. You have a beautiful horse over there that's doing great with puppies and adult dogs alike, so naturally I can only assume that you take great care of your horses." Smiling, he motioned from her towards the puppies. "Take your pick of which ones you like. Three of them are female and two are male if you have gender preferences. Their father is pedigreed, though their mother is full wolf if there might be a problem with that. Great animals, though. Their parents are here if you would like to meet them." Saga would hate to see them go, but he would delight in the fact they were going to a good home rather than a bad one.

Isis tried not to blush when Saga complimented Cassis, but failed miserably. "Thank you! Um...Any two?"
She walked over and showed no hesitation when she picked up the two she had been eyeing earlier. "Are these two alright? I have to admit I fell in love with them when I got here." She said with a sheepish smile.

Both puppies seemed to take to her immediately even as they squirmed in her grip, trying to get back to the horse. "Ah, those are a good choice. I'm anticipating the female to be rather large, and the male not much smaller." Saga smiled and thought up prices for both dogs, calculating in his head just how much it would be for both of them. Walking over to Isis's side, he tapped each puppy on the nose lightly as he spoke the name. "His name is Akihiko and her's is Makoto. You're welcome to change them since they don't really know their names yet, but you're just as welcome to keep them."
After he was sure he memorized which ones she wanted he stood back up and looked in the direction of where he kept his sellable dogs. "If you want to leave them here I can show you to the adults we have for sale. Kavik has three rather large children for sale if you would like a big guard dog."

"Ok!" Isis smiled and kissed Makoto and Akihiko's wet noses before setting them back on the ground. They instantly went over and tackled Cassis who rolled over on his side with a bored grunt as the puppies pranced and played over him.
She followed Saga back towards the kennels and looked down at the large dog trotting beside him. "So...Kavik seems to be the Alpha around here."
